Last chance for $5 for $25
There’s still time to earn yourself a $5 credit in December if you spend $25 by November 30th. And there are some great movies coming out in December – we’re just saying. We’ll even give you some easy ways to reach your goal.
Bigelow, big fun, and a big, blue nose
Set to the backdrop of one of the largest citizen uprisings in U.S. history, Detroit is a powerhouse of a movie from Kathryn Bigelow (Point Break, The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty) that has received high praise from critics, and on Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic, and CinemaScore.
If you’re looking for a different kind of action, your favorite dapper spies (and the Crown Princess of Sweden) are back in Kingsman: The Golden Circle. They say manners maketh the man, but action maketh this movie. And you’ll get plenty of it from this team of super agents whose aim is as sharp as their outfits.
And if the young ones (or the young at heart) are looking for a movie, then…it’s time to play the music. It’s time to light the lights. It’s time to meet the Muppets on the Muppet Show tonight – well, The Muppets Christmas Carol. The gang is back with a special 20th Anniversary Edition that includes all-new audio commentary from your favorite Muppets, a sing-along, a look at Christmas all over the world, and much more.
If you rent it, you can watch (in up to 30 days)
The holidays are a busy time, so why not relax with Logan Lucky, a Steven Soderbergh heist movie that doesn’t take place in a casino; or Tulip Fever, a story of love and betrayal set in 17th century Amsterdam.
Too busy? No problem. You’ve got 30 days to start your movie before your rental period begins. So, finish decorating the tree. Wrap those presents. Don’t worry, your rental will be waiting for you.
Movies you won’t find on Blu-ray…
Because they’re still in theaters. But we’ve got them. How? That’s the magic of digital! (Watch it first, instantly!)
Watch 24 Hours to Live. It’s part John Wick and part Crank, with the adrenaline rush of both. Ethan Hawke gets even with the agency that ruined his life, then took his life, then brought him back to life.
Then on Friday, there’s Slumber, a horror thriller starring Maggie Q. It’s dark and creepy, and you definitely won’t be slumbering after you watch it.
Or go independent with Tribes of Palos Verdes, starring Jennifer Garner and Justin Kirk (APB, Weeds) as a couple who moves their family to glamourous Palos Verdes, CA, only to find it isn’t as great as they thought. Available to watch starting this Friday as well.
