July 13, 2013 at 7:26 amI take back my comment. I decided to check the Play Store anyway, and it said my device is compatible. The app works great on Samsung Galaxy SIII. Movies seem to only play SD, but is that really an issue on a phone screen? Thanks!

March 31, 2014 at 8:27 pmI really love vudu and I love that I can connect various devices that I have to it and use them to watch our growing digital collection. Being able to access the movies we own from my phone is great but unfortunately my phone isn’t compatible. I know that the most popular models receive support first but my Samsung is one of the lower end models so it’s not in the list of supported devices. I do hope that more devices will be supported in the near future otherwise this is just a big disappointment to me.

June 18, 2014 at 8:10 pmMy Samsung note 3 is compatible for watching, but unlike my Samsung pro it will not allow you to download a movie to watch later. Big bonus being able to offline viewing, like on a plane.

October 16, 2014 at 9:32 amHi Chris,
We added support for the Galaxy Note 4 with the latest release, version 1.5.007. It should work now!

December 26, 2014 at 9:20 amHi William,
Could you contact support @ vudu.com? Prepare all the details about your tablet, account and what you’re trying to do. Please note that currently you can download movies and TV shows your own, but not rentals.

February 7, 2015 at 5:12 pmwhy is playback limited to SD only? seems pretty ridiculous to me.
and when are you going to make the app available to the fire tv, with HD playback?
it really doesn’t make sense to both limit it in terms of quality, and availability. That is exactly why people end up pirating copies of movies. You do realize that, right? Making things convoluted when they could be so easily managed

February 20, 2015 at 10:07 amHi TDonohue. Yes we do want to make things more simple for our users, though that involves lots of negotiating and technological things to do with studios and partners. Please trust that we’re working hard on those.

July 10, 2015 at 9:14 amHi Crichard, currently certain studio contracts do not allow HD/HDX streaming on mobile devices. We’ll be sure to share any news should that change.
