NEW THIS WEEK: THE BEST OF ENEMIES, FAST COLOR, AND MORE

EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED

Desegregation of U.S. schools was in full swing in 1971, igniting a heated battle over education between civil rights activists and anti-black organizations like the Ku Klux Klan. One of these activists was Ann Atwater, and when she was appointed to co-chair a community meeting on desegregation with local KKK leader C.P. Ellis she made the most of the opportunity in a way no one could have predicted.

The Best of Enemies chronicles the unlikely but true friendship that developed between two avowed enemies, a friendship forged through the shared struggles of poor parents wanting the best for their kids.

Not all superheroes wear capes, and not all who lose their way are villains. When her out-of-control powers begin to endanger the lives of others, one woman will return home to confront her past and find things she never would have expected.

Crackling with visual life and anchored by powerful performances, Fast Color is a new type of superhero movie and a stirring metaphor for the power and pain of black womanhood.
