It’s a Deadpool party, who could ask for more?

… Everybody’s coming; leave your katanas at the door.

That’s right, we’re back – and your Friday is about to get filled with D. And prizes, lots of prizes. And, if you’ve seen our email promotions, maybe, just maybe, a special co-host. We think.

We’re hosting another #VuduViewingParty tomorrow at 7 PM (PT) for Deadpool 2 – the sequel to the first movie. We’ll start promptly at 7 PM (PT!), so get your superhero landings ready and RSVP now.

If you joined us last Friday for our Avengers: Infinity War #VuduViewingParty, you know you’re in for a good time filled with witty banter, trivia, and of course, a copious amount of prizes. Every winner will get a prize pack that includes all this goodness:

And one lucky winner will be lucky enough to take home this Juggernaut of a Grand Prize – and yes, that’s the actual painting used in the Deadpool Bob Ross trailer:

The best part? You can party with us from the comfort of your own home. So dress up (as your favorite X-Force-er – Vanisher anyone?), or dress down (full Winnie the Pooh?). We even got you a kinky, semi-naked, fully-wrinkly Wade Wilson paper doll you can also dress up – or down. We recommend down.

We know, right? It’s some of the most hilarious low-tech fun we’ve had in a while. So grab it while you can. Just be gentle. Because it’s paper. (Click either image for the full 7-page PDF)

Achieve maximum effort And join in 3 easy steps:

First, you need the movie. You can get it here however you like it – even in up to 4K UHD (Dolby Vision & HDR10). Don’t forget, 4K UHD comes with the ability to watch in HDX and SD for the same price! So, even if you don’t have a 4K TV yet, you can futureproof your collection by getting it in 4K now and still watch it in HDX.

Second, you should be a polite guest and RSVP here.

Third, you’ll need a Twitter account so you can follow us, @VuduFans, and join the conversation using #VuduViewingParty

Make it plus plus

And when you get HDX or 4K quality, you’ll also get the Super Duper Cut included! It’s got 15 extra minutes of fun jokes, gags, and inappropriateness. Oh my.

Or, if you’re feeling extra Michelangelo-y, you can even get an exclusive and arty Digital Movie Card at your local Walmart.

In Wolverine’s eyes, we are complete

Say anything about you want about their relationship, but you can’t talk about Deadpool without mentioning Wolverine. And it just so happens that you can cuddle up to Wade’s favorite clawed-companion – and his genetically-gifted friends – in X-Men: Days of Future Past (HDX), on us, when you link your Vudu account and Movies Anywhere.

So, if you haven’t linked already, you can get Deadpool 2, get the Super Duper Cut (requires purchase of HDX or 4K), and X-Men: Days of Future Past. Other terms and conditions apply, learn more here.

It’s a #VuduViewingParty and guess who’s coming

Hint: They’re still alive at the end of the movie

Just another Thanos Thursday

While Thanos is counting out half of the universe to wipe out, we’re counting down the hours to our next #VuduViewingParty. And we’re excited to say we’re only about 24-hours away from the end of the world as we know it, and we feel fine – because it’s going to be epic.

Tomorrow at 7:00 PM (PT) sharp (no one likes being late to the balancing of the universe), we’re kicking off our Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War #VuduViewingParty. And you’re going to want to join us because we’ve got a great movie, lots of fun trivia, and prizes worth their weight in Infinity Stones – and the Russo Brothers. Yup, first Tessa Thompson, now the Russo Brothers. How bow dah.

So if you haven’t signed up, hurry up and RSVP to watch Avengers: Infinity War with the directors themselves. All you need is Avengers: Infinity War (watch it in up to 4K + HDR!) and a Twitter account.

Check out our Infinity Bling

Avengers: Infinity War is a big movie, so we’re stepping up our game with some equally big prizes and prize packs. And more of them. So don’t worry, we’ll have plenty to go around. More so if you consider that half of you won’t be around to collect them by the end of the movie. (Come on, that’s not really a spoiler at this point.)

There are way too many prizes to list here, but we can show you a picture of some of them.

We can also tell you that we channeled Mantis to lull Funko and Hasbro into being prize sponsors so we can bring you some really cool Funko Avengers: Infinity War Pops and PEZ dispensers, and Hasbro action figures and Avengers Assemblers.

Billion Dollar Brothers

So who are Joe and Anthony Russo? Well, they have directed three Marvel movies (we’re not counting Avengers 4 yet) which, to date, have made a combined $3 billion worldwide. So, this ain’t their first rodeo. But their journey to Avengers: Infinity war was as much a journey as the 10-year long one that the Avengers themselves had.

Before Thanos, the Infinity Stones, the Avengers, and even directing “Cap,” they were starting out the way most filmmakers start out – by maxing out their credit cards for their first movie, Pieces.

However, Pieces caught the eye of Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney, who recruited them for the star-studded caper-comedy Welcome to Collinwood. Which, in turn, caught the eye of a studio exec who turned to them to direct the comedy, Lucky. But that was canceled after just one season. Which luckily (eh, eh) was on just long enough to gain one important fan, Ron Howard, who put them in charge of a little comedy show called Arrested Development. No big deal.

Along the way, Soderbergh was there to inspire them creatively, and eventually, to convince them to jump to big-budget movie-making – finally punching their Marvel Studios golden ticket to Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Civil War, and ultimately the Avengers-movies-that-could-end-all-Avengers-movies.

Join the Avengers: Infinity War #VuduViewingParty

Avengers (Fans) Unite!

There was an idea, to bring together a group of remarkable people, to see if we could become something more. So when they needed us, we could have the viewing parties that they never could.

That’s right! We’re celebrating Avengers: Infinity War with a #VuduViewingParty. Join us this Friday, August 3rd at 7 pm (PT) for an event ten years in the making. It’s the ultimate showdown (until Avengers 4) and you can watch with us, in up to 4K + HDR.

And FYI, it’s your last day to pre-order. So if you act quickly, you can put an extra smile on your face with $3 movie credit when Avengers: Infinity War is released! Full terms here.

Get ready for our reveal

There’s a lot of secrecy around the MCU, but we don’t like secrets, so we’re spilling ours – the Russo Brothers will be here to host the Avengers: Infinity War Viewing Party! So don’t miss your opportunity to bro out with the brothers responsible for killing off your favorite Marvel characters.

Joining is a snap. Too soon?

If you’ve never attended a #VuduViewingParty before, we’re going to assume that you were locked up on Knowhere as part of the Collector’s, uh, collection.  No, wait, we’re going to assume that you’ve been living under a stone – an Infinity Stone. Boom. But yeah, it’s easy to get in on the fun.

To join, all you need to do is:

  1. Get Avengers: Infinity War
  2. RSVP for the Viewing Party
  3. Follow us on Twitter @VuduFans

Then, at 7 pm (PT) on Friday, start your movie with us and hop on to Twitter. Join the conversation using #VuduViewingParty, and answer trivia and maybe win some great prizes. One of which may or may not be a 40” 4K TV! (Spoiler alert, it is.) So, join the fight and be a part of the Vudu Viewing Party. You might not feel so good if you miss it.

DON’T MISS A THING WITH READY PLAYER ONE

And our Ready Player One #VuduViewingParty

Besides eye-popping action, next-level effects, and a killer 80s pop soundtrack, Steven Spielberg’s sprawling sci-fi epic, Ready Player One, boasts a treasure trove of nerd-stalgic pop-culture shoutouts that anyone who grew in the last three decades is sure to enjoy.

You can even experience the pulse-pounding, player vs. player action as it was meant to be seen, in full 4K + HDR (Dolby Vision and HDR10).

If you want to discuss the amazing homages to your favorite films with other eagle-eyed fans, we’ve got the party for you. Tune in tonight at 7pm PT (10pm ET) to our #VuduViewingParty and tweet along for the chance to win prize packs loaded up with iconic gear from your favorite franchises (including a few actual props from the set of Ready Player One). Click here to RSVP.

To fully appreciate the layers of meta mashup madness (which may require multiple viewings), snag our exclusive Disc + Digital Collector’s Set complete with a digital copy you can watch instantly (HDX) – you know, in case you had a #VuduViewingParty to attend, a Blu-ray to collect (shipped from Walmart.com on 7/24), a Ready Player One Rubik’s Cube, and sticker sheets.

CHECK THOSE REFERENCES

Ready Player One brings the 80s and 90s heat with Easter eggs from some of the most beloved animated classics, caped crusades, sci-fi smash hits, and horror hall-of-famers from geekdoms golden age. Check out some of the most unexpected and awesome appearances, complete with movie links for some of the characters’ (and sweet rides’) most iconic outings:

*SPOILERS* abound, so proceed with caution!

The Dark Knight, The Clown Prince of Crime, and the Maid of Mischief are all present and accounted for in the Oasis (Ready Player One’s virtual adventure-scape). Batman can be seen scaling Mount Everest while Harley and the Joker appear as playable characters within the game

Between a Star-Trek-themed funeral and a discarded bat’leth (blink and you’ll miss it), the Oasis may very well be the REAL final frontier.

They may not need roads, but time-travelling The DeLorean from Back to the Future handles them just fine with Wade behind the wheel.

That;’s not just any T. Rex terrorizing the racetrack with King Kong. Fans will immediately recognize the noble beast from Spielberg’s other larger-than-life Sci-Fi thriller: Jurassic Park.

The Iron Giant is admittedly hard to miss, playing a huge role in the climactic fight of good versus evil, and deservedly so given the warm place he holds in every 90s kid’s heart.

Check out Vulture’s fully comprehensive list here, and we’ll see you at the #VuduViewingParty!

THE CHALLENGE IS ON WITH READY PLAYER ONE

The Adventure You’ve Been Waiting For

In case you haven’t heard, Ready Player One has everything – like, literally everything – you loved as a kid all rolled up (like Fruit Roll-Ups) in one jaw-dropping movie.

Post-apocalyptic wasteland? Check. The dark side of cutting-edge technology? Check. More 80’s pop-culture references than you can shake a Snarf at? That’s a big, Voltron-sized check.

Adapted from Ernest Cline’s genre-splicing hit novel, Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One is serving up all the nostalgic and sci-fi epicness your flux capacitor can handle, and we’ve got it in up to mind-blowing 4K + HDR. So if you’ve got Dolby Vision and HDR10-capable devices, your favorite Easter eggs will be easier to spot with the richer and more vibrant colors of HDR.

HE’S GOT GAME

Ready Player One tells the story of Wade Watts, an elite gamer on the hunt for a hidden Easter egg that controls the fate of the Oasis, the virtual world where he and the rest of humanity spend all their time.

Like any life-or-death scavenger hunt worth its loot, Wade’s quest involves puzzles within puzzles like the time-traveling (and suspiciously familiar) Zemeckis Cube. You can get your own limited-edition cube (non-time traveling, unfortunately), stickers, a digital HDX copy, Blu-ray, and DVD with our exclusive Disc + Digital Collector’s Set.

With Disc + Digital you get the best of both worlds. Stream the movie immediately (in HDX), and get a collectible physical copy shipped to you free on 7/24. Disc will be shipped by Walmart.com; free shipping offer expires 7/24 – so don’t wait. Snag some extra goodies for your collection and solve the puzzle – IF you’re up to the challenge. Who know’s maybe your Rubik’s Cube will be a time machine. (But it won’t.)

MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER ONLINE

And just like Parvizal (Wade) and Atr3mis (Samantha) team up with the rebellion, why quest alone when you can join a party? Join our guild of superfans this Friday at 7 p.m. (PT) for our Ready Player One #VuduViewingParty. We’ll have live behind-the-scenes facts, trivia questions, and game-changing prizes – including actual props from the movie. Joining is fun and easy.

Your mission is as follows:

1. Purchase Ready Player One on Vudu
2. RSVP to the event and follow @vudufans on Twitter
3. Join us on Friday, 7/6, and start your movie with us at 7 p.m. PT
4. Be part of the conversation using the hashtag #VuduViewingParty

We’ll see you in the Oasis.
