NEW THIS WEEK: VENOM, NIGHT SCHOOL, AND MORE

NEW NIGHTMARES

Slobbering aliens, going back to school, and sudden disappearances are all the stuff of bad dreams, as well as being the stuff of this week’s new releases.

He’s big, he’s bad, and he’s taking his new friend for the joyride of a lifetime. Venom, a smack-talking symbiote from outer space, and Eddie Brock, a journalist on a mission, are going to have to team up and learn to share more than just space if they want to survive.

Can a class clown become the teacher’s pet? This adult fast-talker is going to need more than charm if he wants to get his GED and put his life back on track in Night School.

What would you do if your best friend got Gone Girl-ed? In A Simple Favor, one mommy blogger armed with a camera, a vlog, and an adventurous spirit is going to find out what happened to her wealthy and mysterious bestie, even if the trail leads to some unexpected places.

You can’t keep a good Equalizer down. Robert McCall is back to business righting wrongs and protecting the underdog with his years of special agent training in The Equalizer 2, and this time – you guessed it – it’s personal.

Everyone knows humans aren’t real; they’re just a tall tale made up to scare little yetis. That’s what the yeti tribe thought until now – but they’re in for a big surprise once they get a load of Smallfoot.

MONDAY MOVIE NEWS

SEASON’S TEASES

As the year winds to a close, some of the most hotly anticipated upcoming titles offer tidbits, breadcrumbs, and scraps of information to tide us over through the winter months.

NEW SONIC THE HEDGEHOG MOTION POSTER

The blue blur is racing onto the silver screen, and he’s sporting a brand new look for the occasion.

The newly released motion poster gives a silhouetted glimpse at a faster, furrier Sonic the Hedgehog ready to take on whatever threats his latest adventure will offer.

NEW PLOT DETAILS FOR JORDAN PEELE’S US

Director Jordan Peele‘s much anticipated follow-up to last year’s modern horror classic Get Out is shaping up to be just as creatively creepy as its predecessor, while still keeping key details under wraps.

A leaked plot synopsis for Us describes a family who’s relaxing getaway with friends takes a sinister turn when unexpected guests descend on their beach house.

TITLE REVEALED FOR 47 METERS DOWN SEQUEL

After forever traumatizing scuba fans and adventurous vacationers alike, the shark-infested thriller 47 Meters Down is coming back for seconds.

The sequel, titled 47 Meters Down: Uncaged is due out next year and will follow four teens into abandoned oceanic ruins, where danger (most likely shark-related) lurks at every turn.

AMERICAN REMAKE OF WOMAN AT WAR ANNOUNCED

This year’s Icelandic entry into the Academy Awards’ Foreign Language category is a spirited drama about a schoolteacher who moonlights as a rule-breaking environmental activist, and it’s soon to receive a stateside reinterpretation.

Academy Award winner Jodie Foster will direct, star, and co-produce a version of Woman at War that promises to offer a uniquely American spin on the material.

The end of the hunt draws near. The final piece of the key phrase for our Conan O’Brien Predator Pop Giveaway is “kill it”. All that’s left is to come back tomorrow 12/11, enter the full phrase, and, with a bit of good fortune, claim your bounty. Best of luck!

FREE MOVIES AND TV FOR FRIDAY

NEW THIS WEEK

The babbling boy who launched a generation of talking baby flicks is here – and he sounds suspiciously like John McClane. For anyone who’s wondered what goes on in the mind of kids, it’s time to Look Who’s Talking.

Billy the Kid may be getting older, but his love of riding, rabble-rousing, and running from the law have stayed exactly the same. Getting the gang back together is risky business in Young Guns 2.

How far would you go to help out a neighbor? For the locals in Lars and the Real Girl, humoring Lars and his… unconventional new friend is more work than play, but getting him out of his shell just might be worth it.

You can never go home again, but maybe your cat can. In Pet Sematary a family man discovers a burial mound that raises the dead, and the temptation to bring back furry friends (and more) may be too hard to resist, with deadly consequences.

HEARTFELT STORIES

Whether coming together, breaking apart, or acting out of passion, the characters in these moving films are swept up in affairs of the heart.

The rules of the Dogfight are simple: the Marine who finds the ugliest date is crowned the winner. To his surprise, one recruit is about to learn that all’s fair in love and war.

Amidst separations, reunions, and goodbyes, three children and their grandfather slip away for one last adventure. The kids’ classmates aren’t going to believe What We Did on Our Holiday.

Three sisters separated by age, distance, and personality are about to be reunited by an incident no one saw coming. Forgiven, forgotten, or justly deserved, Crimes of the Heart can change everything.

Whether you’re looking for chills, thrills, or martial arts skills, we’ve got free movies & TV for every occasion in our full free collection here.
