Check out the VUDU $0.99 Movie of the Day – Braveheart

I’ve got some great news!  Starting today, we are going to be offering the VUDU $0.99 Movie of the Day.  Each day, we’ll offer a great movie to rent in SD, HD or HDX quality for only $0.99.  The selection changes each day, so be sure to check in often for the latest selection (or follow us on Twitter).  Once you rent the movie, you’ll still have 30 days to start watching it as always, but you can only get the special $0.99 price for that one day.

To kick things offer, we’re presenting the Mel Gibson classic Braveheart.  Nothing will get you fired up like watching Mel stick it to the English!

So, tonight enjoy Braveheart or one of the other thousands of great movies we have on VUDU

Blu-ray players just got better. It must be VUDU.

BD390_1We recently announced VUDU was going to be on the BD390, LG’s highest ranked Network Blu-ray player. This thing is a great Blu-ray player, but what we like most about the 390 is that it connects to the Internet (it even has built-in wireless). This means that as of today, you can stream the VUDU experience on-demand, right out of the box, in beautiful 1080p HDX with Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 surround sound, without having to leave your couch.

If you already have a BD390, you should get a software update next time you turn it on – then just sit back and enjoy some VUDU goodness.  If you don’t already have a VUDU account, check our our “New Trailers” section, where we have the latest theatrical-release trailers for free in multiple quality levels (not only are these trailers completely addictive, but they are a great way to see what quality level works best with your Internet connection).  Then go set up your account.  You’ll love it.

If you don’t have a BD390 and are thinking about grabbing a new Blu-ray player, you gotta give this one a try.  CNET rated it an 8.8, and it’s even cooler now that it has VUDU.  You don’t have to take our word for it – see what the folks at CNET and Engadget have to say.   And if you’ve tried VUDU, through the BD390 or some other device, we want to hear what you have to say as well, so leave a comment here.
