    I have approx. 130 HD movies on two hard drives…….If I can’t watch them on my 60″ LG plasma, I guess vudu is not for me.

    I bought this as a package deal with the Samsung LN52A850. This player is very fast, has amazing picture quality and has many other wonderful features. Having Netflix and Pandora streamed to the tv is very awesome. If you are looking for a quality budget friendly BlueRay player this is it. Set up was a breeze. Simple to use, I was connected to the net streaming movies and music with in 30 minutes, 10 mintues to get it hooked up to the stereo and tv for DVD viewing.

    Wake up folks…
    Am I the only one that saw what VUDU just did?
    You no longer have ANY movies truly on your box’s hard-drive!

    Test: unplug your internet & try and watch a movie…

    “Danielle”, customer service ‘supervisor’ at VUDU told me that we “no longer truly OWN our movies like before”??? They are all “licenses”.

    OK…
    Another test: “What happens if you want to leave VUDU for whatever reason? Answer: you loose every movie, & every dollar you ever spent “purchasing” them…

    I tried Netflix and I couldn’t get new releases on TV. VUDU has new releases, but $5.99 ?! That sucks…I could get the same on my Direct TV.
    It’s back to the local RED BOX for me…

    How can I possibly sign up to a service when the company wil not give us an idea of the prices. I won’t buy or give out my information when I don’t know the coast.

    If the information is on the site, it’s very well hidden.

    I watch movies via Netflix and other on my blue-ray. It is very dissappointing that Vudu movies don’t download to the set to be watched. All I can say is that a minute and a half into a movie and the video stops to buffer 4 times. This is unacceptable!

    Netflix has less selection, but when I start a movie….it plays all the way through.

    I haven’t even tested this out yet and I can tell you that I hate it. As I was looking into it just now I noticed that it doesn’t have a monthly fee like Netflix so there for Netflix is still better. Plus from what I’m reading from the guy above, this vudu seems to do alot of buffing. I would be pist off if I rented a movie to find out it buffed through the whole thing.

    I was told I could not get an update, etc on my current vudu box as they were no longer stocking them due to a by-out? The buffering is so bad on my current vudu and I’ve got movies that I bought(quite a few) that I cannot even watch, I’ve only had my vudu for less than a year-my bad luck. I cannot get a straight answer from support as to how to transfer my current account to another box, I’ve been told I’m just out of luck ( and money).
    I purchased a tobisha dvd-blu ray that was said to down load netflix,
    and vudu. Am I out of luck as they said?????

    when i tried to watch a movie the screen was black i could hear what they said but i couldn’t see anything

    Hi,

    I just activated my Oppo 3D Blu-ray player and I am very impressed. However, I notice that although Vudu advertises 3D selections on their website, there are no available 3D selections when viewing the 3D Collections option. Is this a software bug on the Oppos?

    Well, unless you add another category to your browse list, for Christian/religious movies, it’s unlikely I will watch any movies from your site. As a Christian, I only desire to watch wholesome, family oriented, clean entertainment. For this reason, I do not even own nor desire to own a television. I pick and choose the programming I watch, via streaming movies and dvd’s that I can watch directly on my computer monitor, without filling my mind with the filth/garbage that plays on television these days.

    i used up the free trial credit on my ps3 i like the service but i cant watch anything else till i submit my credit card info for billing on the site but icant seem to find it on there web page im i missing something or what?

    Paul — You should have received an email from VUDU when first activating your VUDU-enabled device. That email will have a link for you to complete your account creation. If you can’t find that email, you can always log in to your VUDU account at https://my.vudu.com and complete your account or contact our Customer Care department at (888)554-VUDU for assistance.

    i have a ps3. used up the free trial and want to do more business with you. your support doesnt work. you dont offer 24 hour phone support, and your FAQ is more of a FA- Q. than a help. seriously, pay someone the 8 bucks an hour to just see if your links work. Where are your brick and mortar stores? Come again? you dont have any? so youre web based? THEN MAYBE HIRE A COMPETANT WEB DEVELOPER TO BUILD YOUR SITE!!!!!!!!! evidently, your web site is worthless. I WANT TO GIVE YOU MONEY!!!!! if i sound frustrated, understand that im an adept web surfer. After MUCH work trying to figure out how to pay you ive realised that either its impossible, or at the very least, is so complicated id rather walk barefoot in the snow to blockbuster. ok…. maybe not THAT dramatic. Im glad i dont have to. netflix and hulu take my money.
    i think 1, you should send me an email with a WORKING link to where ever i need to go to put credits on my account, 2 fix the broken link at support_PS3, 3 credit me

    by the way, does that address work? NO! what gives? dont tell me this is the same problem paul had 3 weeks ago. vudu to sony “your tens of millions of users cant figure out how to pay us, and we’re ok with that”

    Joe — Once you’ve signed up for VUDU and used your free trial you will need to complete your account set-up by entering a credit card to your account on our website. The link for the sign-up had recently changed, you should use: https://my.vudu.com or go to http://www.vudu.com and click on “Sign In / Sign Up” in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Since you are an existing member, you will need to enter the username (your email address you used to sign up) and the password you were given (should have been emailed to you). If you do not know your password, use the “Forgot Password?” link on the log-in page or contact our Customer Care department at (888)554-VUDU for assistance. Note that VUDU is not allowed to take any credit card information over-the-phone, so you will need to enter this into your account online (support will help you access your account online).

    If you need any additional assistance, please respond to this thread or contact our Customer Care department (if you prefer email to phone, send an email to support@vudu.com).

    Dear VuDu,

    You MIGHT want to archive messages from 2009, instead of leading off with them… maybe reverse the order from newest to oldest. I’m no web expert. I appreciate your transparency though. I truly do. From what I’ve just read, it sounds like your product pretty much sucks.

    I am soooooo tired of this buffering. What is the issue with this? It takes 15 mins to watch a 2 minute preview. What if anything can be done about this inconvenience. I think I will go back to RED BOX, Nexflix doesn’t have the new releases, however, it does not buff like VUDU. This is so agitating!
