My daughter wants vudu gift cards for christmas. I don’t know of a specific show she wants and I would like to just give her a gift card. Do walmart gift cards work? Can I purchase a vudu gift card at walmart?

Currently Walmart Gift cards do not work on VUDU.

I think it’s mind boggling how vudu doesn’t have gift cards. I’m stuck using sony video network because I use gift cards to add credit, I don’t use my credit card for iTunes or Sony because of security. I will never enter my credit card for vudu. I hate sony video because of no subtitle, iTunes you need an Apple TV to watch on tv.

Any reason why no gift cards on vudu? It’s been 5 years since I’ve had an account but never rented a movie with credit card. Got because of free movie with new TV.

Sierra and Tim, I agree, I would like to be able to purchase Vudu gift cards at Wal-Mart; however a reloadable Visa or Mastercard gift card (available at Wal-Mart) will work on the site.

I agree with everyone else why not have a $15,$25, maybe even a $50 vudu gift card at Wal-Mart? It does not rule out using a credit card for a subscription service. However, it does allow more immediate income for the vudu video streaming service.

I completely agree! I like that you can egift movies on vudu but I don’t always know exactly what they might want so would rather provide them with a dollar amount and let them choose. Either by way of an actual gift card available for purchase at walmart or even possibly through an e-giftcard where I can purchase through the app and send a code by email to my recipient and they can add the credit to their account.

I agree with the gift card thing. I wanted to purchase a vudu gift card for my father-in-law for Christmas to put in a movie night basket but alas I cannot. It’s a shame bc now I will have to find a different avenue to accomplish the same gift. Pls consider having vudu gift cards!

I agree with all that would want the ability to purchase gift cards for Vudu. Every year, over the last three years I have checked to see if its possible, and have to move on somewhere else.

I’m not seeing the e-Gift option on Safari for iPad. Is there a better platform or browser to use?

    Hi Tom,

For the moment, please use a Mac or PC and then your browser of choice for eGifting.

I too would like to see gift cards available for purchase in stores as I also don’t want my credit card on file.

I would like to covert my DVD collection to Digital. Over 500 movies. Buying a gift card once in a while to do Disc to Digital would let me do it without breaking my bank.

  19. Comment by Jchang — February 3, 2015 at 10:18 am

    Hi Newell,

You should try our Disc to Digital program!
You can convert your UltraViolet-eligible DVDs and get SD or even HDX copies for $2 or $5 each, respectively. If you convert more than 10 at once, you also get a 50% discount. For payment method, we do accept PayPal and many have found that a great option.

    Hope this helps.

Include me in those who would like to see Vudu gift cards. I see Walmart is selling Netflix and Hulu gift cards recently but I have no interest in their poor choice of movies. It’s a new thing for them to do that. Amazon has for a while and they get most of my movie money today. It wouldn’t hurt for VUDU follow suit to keep a business edge.

I’m afraid what I read from between the lines of commenters above is true. That is no one here really trusts the internet for doing banking from home where security is poor.

The past few time I have been to Walmart, I was looking for a giftcard as well. One of the associates told me they are not available… I was a little upset, with the end of the school year coming, I was hoping toget each of my children a gift card so they can each pick a movie to own. Please please please make gift cards an option. Thank you!
